Great changes are taking place at the SCDFC. Established in
1957 it is understandable and expected that the mission, goals and
objectives would change with time. Led by a progressive
governing board of directors under the leadership of the Chair,
Michael W. Rogers, we have made continuous improvements and efforts
to enhance existing programs and provide new services that our
clients need. We believe our community deserves and expects
quality.
Additionally, the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California
has assembled a staff of professionals who are committed to the core
values of the organization which include: client focus, quality,
integrity and sustainability. These values guide me and the
members of the SCDFC Board of Directors as well.
As President & CEO it is my responsibility to provide leadership
to the board of directors and staff in the development of
organizational policies, the implementation of programs and the
delivery of client services.
If this is your first time to our website, please do not make it

SCDFC. There are exciting things in our future. We will
continue to seek funding and support in communities throughout
California and provide the best services possible for persons with
sickle cell disease as well as the communities in which they live.
