About the event
Join “The Kindest Red” Blood Drive for Sickle Cell Disease. Sponsored by the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Mu Xi Lambda Chapter, and Members of the Divine 9. The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be at the SCD Foundation.
- About 100,000 people in the United States have sickle cell disease.
- People with sickle cell disease may need as many as 100 units of blood each year.
- Your blood donations could help alleviate the symptoms of someone living with sickle cell disease or even help save their life.
The Kindest Red is a blood drive campaign to help people living with sickle cell disease, partnering with Girl Scouts and the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation to create monthly opportunities available to donate blood.
